Cesky kras is a protected landscape area rich in flora and fauna. It is one of the hotspots of Bohemian biodiversity and several most strictly protected areas (National Natural Reserves) almost touch the venue area. However, we have a promise from the director of the protected area that the participants of the congress will be issued a collecting permit. The permit will exclude specifically protected species, listed here (Appendix III.). If anybody wants to collect these species for research, please, contact us!
Czech Republic signed the Nagoya Protocol on Jun 23, 2011 and ratified the document five years later. However, the country does not restrict a use of DNA and thus anybody can do a research on DNA of the flora and fauna.
