The congress venue

The congress venue will be a medieval monastery, abolished in 1785, and later having different functions. In 1949 it was seized by the state and during a short period around 1950 functioned also as a jail for political prisoners. After 1994 it was returned to church (Archdiocese of Prague) and currently it hosts a middle school. More information can be found here.

Location: central part of the Czech Republic, ca. 20 minutes from Prague in the Landscape Protected Area Cesky kras.

How to get there:

  1. By car Using a highway D5 (E50) connecting Prague and Nürnberg and leaving Exit 10 (direction Loděnice)
  2. By train Regular trains from Praha Hlavní nádraží to Beroun, Loděnice or Srbsko, then using local bus. Check https://pid.cz/en/search-connection/
  3. By bus There are bus connections from Prague or Pilsen with a change in Beroun or Loděnice. Check https://pid.cz/en/search-connection/

How to get around: the place is connected with public transport (buses, check https://pid.cz/en/search-connection/) with nearby towns of Beroun and Křivoklát, from which there is regular bus and train service to Prague and Pilsen; the place is also connected with a number of hiking trails (see touristic maps at https://mapy.cz).

Important! No shops available here and very limited number of restaurants, but many shops and restaurants can be more found in neighbouring Srbsko, Beroun or Loděnice.
